Women in Sustainability Celebrates PRIDE Month

June 25 – WIS Team PRIDE at the Pride 5K
8:30am MT • State Capitol & Cheesman Park
Join the Women in Sustainability team and walk, or perhaps strut, with us! We’ll gather as a group and plan to walk the course to be in community and conversation together! You are welcome to run, if preferred, and we will all meet up as a group at the end. Perhaps brunch or picnic in the park afterward?!
All proceeds benefit The Center on Colfax and Denver PRIDE

June 26 – Pride Parade Volunteers
6:30am – 12:00pm MT • Cheesman Park
Volunteer with us at this year’s PRIDE parade! We are seeking volunteers to support the Parade. The Pride Parade volunteer shift is 6am-12pm. Volunteers will meet at Cheesman Park, receive their assignments, and walk with their contingents down the Parade route. The Parade ends at Civic Center Park. If interested, please register here and also email becky@womeninsustainability.org.
NOTE: When you register, please be sure to register for the Pride Parade and enter “Women in Sustainability” as the employer so we can volunteer as a group.

About OUT for Sustainability
OUT for Sustainability provides a platform for co-creating climate resilience and environmental justice by and for LGBTQIA+ communities. They do this through advocacy, training, fundraising, and relationship-building.
Since 2008, the organization hosted over 4,000 people at more than 100 events in seven states. Events ranged from service projects through the Earth Gay program to our national summit, Fab Planet. In addition to in-person community action, OUT4S serves as the voice of LGBTQ sustainability values, speaking at conferences around the country and writing for, and being featured in, publications around the world.
Their mission has evolved over time, but they have remained committed to highlighting connections between LGBTQIA+ communities, sustainability, and justice.
